About

Zombie Homes helps local governments and municipalities, community leaders, real estate professionals and concerned neighbors, resolve problems with zombie homes. Customers report zombie homes to us and we locate the owner and work toward a resolution.

As of the first quarter of 2013, U.S. Census estimates show more than 14.2 million homes in the U.S. were vacant all year round. They present health and public safety hazards for communities and lower property values for nearby homeowners.

Long Island leads the state and ranks in the top 10 counties in the nation for the number of vacant ‘zombie’ houses – those in the foreclosure process and abandoned by their owners. Local municipalities there spent more than $3.2 million in 2014 to maintain zombie homes that have cost Long Island at least $295 million in depreciated home values.

This is a largely underserved market that we assist with our Zombie Home Solution: (1) Report (2) Identify (3) Resolve. The customer reports a vacant home on our website and chooses from a short variety of options with varying costs depending on the customers goals. We will identify the owner and work with the customer and owner for a resolution.
